You can help give hope!

Have tickets to a Detroit Tigers or Lions game that may go unused?

How about an available weekend at your vacation home or condo?

Maybe you received a restaurant or spa gift certificate you’ll never get to.

Can you provide an hour of free professional services? (photographer, chef, painter, etc.)

Put these items and services to good use!

Donate them for the Step Up for Hope 5K fundraiser and raffle and help us support healthy families!

The Tree of Hope Foundation, which helps to empower new mothers and promote healthy families, graciously requests your support and donations for our annual Step Up for Hope 5K Run, Walk & Stroll. Our foundation supports local postpartum depression awareness efforts. When new mothers find themselves overcome with “baby blues,” the effects on their families can be overwhelming and the stress of postpartum depression can be dangerously debilitating. Tree of Hope provides free, professional services, including five weekly support groups throughout metro Detroit.

Our fourth annual Step Up for Hope 5K Run, Walk & Stroll will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Metro Beach Metropark, along Jefferson in Harrison Township, Mich. (31300 Metropolitan Parkway) Approximately 700 participants are expected. Last year, we raised more than $23,000 and would like to exceed that amount once again.

This timed, but uncompetitive, all-ages, family-friendly event invites people of every fitness level to run or walk in support of Tree of Hope’s postpartum depression programs. Various raffles for cash and prizes will be held after the walk and winners will be announced at the event.

We are requesting any of the following support from volunteers and donors:

bulletDonated items (sports memorabilia, event tickets, professional services, etc.)  to be part of our “tin-can” raffle.
bulletCorporate sponsorship support.

If you own a business (or know someone who does) and are interested in learning about our corporate sponsorship program, please call one of the representatives listed below for corporate giving opportunities. Remember, all donations are tax-deductible, an audience of over 700 participants provides great exposure, and community outreach such as this indicates your company’s commitment to social responsibility.
